Lincosamides hydrochloride, also known as clotrimazole hydrochloride, jiminrik, jicomycin, licosamides, lincosamides, loramycin, lincosamides hydrochloride, is a white crystalline powder at room temperature, with a slight or peculiar odor, bitter taste, easily soluble in water or methanol, and its hydrochloride form is commonly used in feed. This drug is the product of Streptomyces spp. when growing, it is a kind of basic antibiotic of lincomycin class, by acting on the 50S subunit of ribosome of sensitive bacteria, it prevents the prolongation of peptide chain, thus inhibiting the protein synthesis of bacterial cells, with antibacterial effect, but it also has bactericidal effect on highly sensitive bacteria when in high concentration. The antibacterial spectrum is the same as that of lincomycin, but the antibacterial activity is stronger, the oral absorption is fast and complete (about 90%), and eating has little effect on the absorption. Lincomycin hydrochloride mainly has strong antibacterial effect on Gram-positive bacteria, certain anaerobic bacteria and mycobacteria, with a narrower antibacterial spectrum than erythromycin. Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus hemolyticus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Mycobacterium pneumoniae and Mycobacterium septicum are sensitive to this product, but enterococci are generally resistant to this product; anaerobic bacteria such as Bacillus spp, Bacillus tetani, Clostridium perfringens, Clostridium perfringens, Clostridium digestiveis are also sensitive to this product. It is mainly used to treat various infections caused by gram-positive bacteria, especially penicillin-resistant gram-positive bacteria, chronic respiratory disease of poultry caused by mycobacteria, porcine wheezing disease, anaerobic bacterial infections such as necrotizing enteritis in chickens, etc. It is also used for the treatment of dysentery of swine, toxoplasmosis and actinomycosis in dogs and cats.
